I read two things that made me think -- an admittance of utterly confused ways of looking for happiness. Perhaps perhaps less money, less competition and less ambition would result in more joi de vivre.. simplicity calls.

Sam Shepard in guardian interview on passing time: "I don't believe people who say, 'I have no regrets'. How can you not have regrets?"
